To become a supervisor in the State of Texas it takes 5 years of post-associate licensed experience, a completed application, $54 bucks and a 40-hour course. We know there is a large group of supervisors out there that think that the bar for training new supervisors (and new associates) is a bit too low and, "The Wall of Excellence", is our attempt at identifying and training those supervisors.

At PracticeMentors.us we offer intensive workshops that teach what we call, "The Counseling Landscape", a diagram of subject-matter disciplines that you didn't cover in school and most supervisors don't deliver. We find counselors that want to step up their supervisory programs and train them through our workshops. Then we make a voluminous library of materials available to aid them as they teach their associates, the next generation of mental health professionals, The Counseling Landscape.

To make The Wall of Excellence a Supervisor must complete any one of our all-day workshops in The Counseling Landscape Workshop Series. Supervisors complete a workshop and do a lot of additional topic research through The Academy, just like they'll be asking you to do to round out your practice education. Supervisors can then move up the Wall from the Silver Level, to Gold Level, to Platinum, and finally to the Titanium Level status, by taking additional training workshops that we offer.
