The Counseling Landscape Workshop Pt 1 (7 CEU)

The Counseling Landscape Workshop Series is an organized series of learning events that covers the entirety of The Counseling Landscape. The Counseling Landscape is a diagrammatic representation of everything a mental health counselor needs to operate a practice correctly, safely, and remain in full compliance. It's everything you didn't learn in school!

Part 1 is foundational to the entire series and while you don't have to take it first we recommend that you do so, if time permits, to get the most out of the remaining workshops.

In this Part 1, 7 CEU workshop we're going to start at the very top of the mountain and work our way down. We'll do a thorough deep dive of BHEC, your Board, and the working relationship between the two. They're not the same thing! Then we're going to spend a lot of time getting familiar with a professional dragon, The Complaint Process. This is definitely one of those life events that you'll want to be prepared for in advance and the diagrams and content we've prepared for you will absolutely help you sleep better and respond well in the event this happens to you. Then we're going to finish up the day by introducing you to The Academy.

Once you've obtained your "S" designation from the State and become a Supervisor, you're on your own. We happen to believe that teaching the next generation can and should be a bit more organized and thorough than that, so we have assembled a training program for Supervisors to utilize with their Associates. Don't think you have to be a Supervisor to take this class, though. What you learn here today, including The Academy, will make you a better counselor. Grab a ticket and jump in!
